
Kathryn Money is a Women for Women International’s U.S. Board of Advisors member.
Kathryn Money is a seasoned consumer and retail executive with nearly 20 years of experience scaling purpose-driven businesses from startup through IPO. In executive roles including COO, CFO, and SVP, she has led strategic growth, product innovation, merchandising, and omnichannel expansion while building high-performing teams and scalable systems from the ground up. Most recently, she served as SVP of Merchandising & Retail Expansion at Brilliant Earth, where she helped scale the business from $25M to $445M in revenue, launched thousands of mission-aligned products, and expanded the company’s retail footprint from one to nearly 40 showrooms. Kathryn served on the executive leadership team, partnering with the CEO and board on strategic growth initiatives and supporting IPO readiness.
Prior to Brilliant Earth, Kathryn held C-suite roles at earlier-stage consumer companies, leading end-to-end business building across P&L management, capital allocation, strategic planning, and operational execution. As CFO at Orion Telescopes & Binoculars, she spearheaded strategic growth initiatives with an emphasis on M&A. As COO at Melissa Joy Manning, she oversaw operations, people, business development, and strategic and financial planning, and led the company’s end-to-end eCommerce strategy, including the launch of its first online store.
Kathryn is passionate about financial empowerment and economic development. She currently serves on the Women for Women U.S. Board of Advisors and sits on its Audit and Finance Committees. She previously served on the board of Enterprise for Youth, a San Francisco-based nonprofit providing workforce training and internships to youths in the Bay Area. Kathryn holds a B.S. in Finance from Boston College and an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business. She lives in San Francisco with her husband and three children.
